Marriage Celebrant Fees

My fee as a Registered Marriage Celebrant is $600.00 for a beautiful and unique wedding designed specifically for you - running the gamut from traditional to modern, with or without religious elements, indoors, outdoors, simple, elaborate, casual, elegant, whatever is right for you. $200.00This amount is payable at the time of making / confirming the booking, and comprises the “Booking Fee” or the “For a Notice of Intended Marriage” fee.
THIS IS PART OF the $600.00 total fee.
$400.00This remaining amount is payable no later than 14 days before the ceremony. This is known as the “In respect of solemnisation of marriage by authorised civil marriage celebrant” fee.

Payment methods accepted: credit card (Visa or MasterCard), direct bank deposit, cheque or money order.

What does this total $600.00 fee include?

This fee covers the following:

point 1  The initial interview (30 minutes - or longer if booking is confirmed and sculpting of the ceremony can begin);
point 2 Additional interviews for confirmation and finalisation of ceremony details;
point 3  Unlimited research pertaining to your ceremony;
point 4  Scripting of the ceremony with as many drafts as necessary for the final script;
point 5  The wedding rehearsal;
point 6  Inclusion of foreign languages as available;
point 7  Provision of music CDs for the ceremony, and/or inclusion of singing if desired;
point 8  The conducting/solemnisation of the marriage ceremony at any venue of your choice;
point 9  Unlimited email communication to and from celebrant, unlimited conversations by phone from the clients to the celebrant;
point 10  The provision of the three marriage certificates required (including the copy kept by the couple);
point 11  Form printing/completion, lodging of the official certificate of marriage and all required documents relating to the marriage;
point 12  Use of state-of-the-art PA system (if required) (» further information);
point 13  Provision of registry signing table and chairs (if required) (» further information);
point 14  Provision of certificate signing pens (choice of elegant styles, including quill-and-ink) (» further information); and
point 15  Travel costs in connection with solemnisation - if the distance of a return journey between the celebrant's home and the place of marriage does not exceed 60 km.

What doesn't this $600.00 include?

Other costs that may be charged to the clients are as follows:

point 11  Phone calls on behalf of the clients (to venue, to participants, etc.) if required;
point 16  Visit by celebrant to venue (if required for checking before the wedding rehearsal);
point 17  Travel costs in connection with solemnisation - if the distance of a return journey between the celebrant's home and the place of marriage exceeds 60 km - $10 per additional 5 km; and
point 18  Other charges as agreed.

Part of the fee may be refundable.

Budget Option – Basic Ceremony

My fee as a registered Civil Marriage Celebrant for a Basic Ceremony is $250.

$250.00This amount is payable at the time of making / confirming the booking, and comprises the “Booking Fee” and the “In respect of solemnisation of marriage by authorised civil marriage celebrant” fee.
THIS IS THE TOTALITY OF the $250.00 total fee for a “Basic” Ceremony.

Payment methods accepted: credit card (Visa or MasterCard), direct bank deposit, cheque or money order. Payment must be made at the time of lodging the NOIM. Please note there are no exceptions.

What does this $250.00 fee include?

This fee covers the following:

point 19  An initial 10-minute interview at my office in North Ringwood, at which the Notice of Intended Marriage must be lodged*;
point 20  Choice of three basic ceremonies (non-tailored);
point 21  The marriage ceremony conducted at my office in North Ringwood, during weekdays after 6.30 p.m. or selected weekend days;
point 22  The provision of the three marriage certificates required (including the copy kept by the couple);
point 23  Form printing/completion, lodging of the official certificate of marriage and all required documents relating to the marriage;
point 24  Provision of registry signing table and chairs;
point 25  Provision of certificate signing pens; and
point 26  Provision of up to 8 chairs for guests.

* Please note that this initial 10-minute interview including the lodgement of the NOIM must take place at least one calendar month plus one day before the date on which you wish to marry, and no more than 18 months before the date on which you wish to marry.
